Obituary of Anne Marie Gabrielle

Anne Marie Gabrielle, the owner of Healing and Wholeness Center and an Annandale resident, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 25. She was 65. Anne Marie was born on February 15, 1947 in Columbia, Missouri. The daughter of Charles and Elinore Williams, she grew up on Staten Island, NY before moving to Bowie, Maryland in 1968. Anne was a graduate of Hunter College and had a Master of Theological Studies from Wesley Theological Seminary. While in Maryland, Anne Marie worked as a Program Analyst for the Department of Agriculture's Food Stamp Program. Anne Marie also founded the Healing and Wholeness Center, to further her personal mission to empower others to be in alignment and balance. Anne Marie worked with clients as a Reiki Master, Brain Gym teacher, and Body, Mind and Spirit Counselor. When she moved to New Jersey in 2008 to be close to her grandchildren, she moved her business with her and saw clients in Lebanon. Anne was also a student and advocate of Sancta Sophia Seminary. Through her many avenues of learning and growing, Anne Marie considered herself a Spiritual Pioneer, active in the holistic community and helping others envision new possibilities for faith and life. She was a member of Church of the Holy Spirit where she taught Sunday school classes. Anne Marie's favorite activities were contra dancing, being in nature, creating art, spending time with her many friends, and doing virtually anything with her three grandchildren, who affectionately called her Oma. Anne Marie is survived by her daughter Jessica Avallone of Lebanon Township, NJ, her son-in-law Nicholas, her three grandchildren Joseph, Matthew, and Cassandra, her mother Elinore Williams of Lincroft, her sister Sharlene Lenning of Holmdel, her brother Charles Williams of Red Bank, and her uncle Thomas Gilroy of Staten Island, NY. The funeral mass will be held on Monday, May 28 at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Lebanon, NJ. Calling hours will be on Sunday May 27 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Martin Funeral Home in Clinton. Family & Friends are invited to meet directly at the Church on Monday morning. Memorial contributions may be made to Church of the Holy Spirit or Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC As Anne Marie would say, "When we are in alignment and balance, miracles seem to happen, the entire universe seems to cooperate with us, and we tend to work more constructively in a more holistic way".
