Obituary of Clifford E. Tanzler
Clifford E. Tanzler, age 51, of Bethlehem Twp., NJ (Hunterdon County) died Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Twp., NJ. Clifford was born October 2, 1960 in Mt. Holly, NJ. He was the son of Charles and the late Evelyn (Schuessler) Tanzler.
Cliff Tanzler graduated from Drexel University in 1984 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. Mr. Tanzler was the owner of Critical Path Project Management (CPPM), LLC. in Hampton, NJ and an adjunct professor in the Engineering Department at Lehigh University. He resided in Bethlehem Twp., NJ for the past 21 years with his family in a beautiful log cabin he built himself with the help of his loving mom and dad, family and countless friends.
He was a very active individual who enjoyed many outdoor endeavors especially; sailing his Hobie Cat on Barnegat Bay and the St. Lawrence River, camping and skiing with his family, golfing and trap shooting. Cliff was a part of the Bethlehem Twp. Recreation Department where he coached softball and soccer for his daughters' teams for many years. Cliff also helped build the Bethlehem Township playground at Heritage Park in 2003. He volunteered his time with Mr. Fixit of Hunterdon County. In his college years, he was a member of the band Iggy Tillman and loved spending his time teaching his daughters piano. Cliff was a Vestry Member of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Lebanon, NJ. Cliff loved a great mojito, a fine cuban cigar and being a member of the BTCC. His dream one day was to sail with his wife to the Carribean on their boat.
He is survived by his beloved wife; Sharon (Stuczynski) and his cherished daughters; Julia, Stacy and Jessica. Additional survivors include his father, Charles Tanzler, his sister, Charlyn Cohen, his brother, Charles "Chuck" Tanzler, his Father & Mother-In-Law, Edmund & Carol Stuczynski, his sister-in-laws, Sheryl, Terry, Beth, Sara & Jennifer, his brother-in-laws; Ed, Eric, Sean, George & Bernard, and 9 nieces, 5 nephews, & 2 grand-nieces. He was pre-deceased by his mother, Evelyn in 2002.
Cliff's Life Celebration includes visitation on Wednesday, June 20th from 2:00 to 5:00 and again from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a Funeral Mass offered on Thursday, June 21st at 10:00 am the Church of the Holy Spirit, 3 Haytown Road, Lebanon, NJ 08833 - #908-236-6301. Family & friends are invited to meet directly at the Church on Thursday morning. All funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Martin Funeral Home of Clinton, NJ.
