Obituary of Shane P. Leahy

SHANE PATRICK LEAHY, 27, died Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Hunterdon Medical Center from complications of diabetes. Shane was born July 24, 1987 in Flemington, N.J. He is the son of Nancy (Abelman) Leahy and the late Michael P. Leahy. Shane grew up in High Bridge and graduated from Voorhees High School in 2005. He had a love for soccer starting as a child and extending through adulthood. Shane was a loving and devoted son and brother. He cared deeply for family and tradition. His family will cherish his love and remember Shane for the strength and courage he showed meeting life's challenges. In addition to his mother, Shane is survived by his sister, Dana Leahy and her fiancé, William Tsoules; his aunts and uncles, Jeanne and William Urian, Wanda and Robert Abelman, Patricia and Edward Hall, Stephanie and Alan Abelman and his cousins. Shane's Life Celebration will include a Memorial gathering on Thursday, January 22, 2015 from 6 until 8PM at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Rt. 31, Clinton, N.J. 08809.
