I was so sad to hear of Rudy's passing. We first met as college students at IIT in Chicago as fellow residents of a dormitory. We became friends and eventually roommates in a off-campus apartment on the north side of Chicago where we lived for almost a year. After we both left IIT nearly 50 years ago, we remained friends ever since.
Although geography limited opportunities to get together, the times that we were able to enjoy each other company were that much more precious.
Rudy took a great deal of justifiable pride and satisfaction in his family.
Rudy was a kind and gracious gentleman, in the truest sense. I will miss him.

I am so sorry to hear Ruddy has left us. I worked with him at BMSand he was one of the kindest people I knew . The one thing I can tell you is he always made me laugh. I wish the retirees could have got together one more time.
I feel so sorry for his loss for each of you. I'm in disbelief and I'm sure you all are too. He was my go to person, my contact with the Di Maio side of my family. He always kept me in the loop of things and would text me or call me to stay in contact. From when my father was sick he became my anchor and I truly appreciated all of his help. I even made him the executor in my will. I will miss his advice and honesty. I always thought he too would be with us until a much older age. All our sympathy and love to Aunt Yannick, Rachelle and Rudy and all your families. I wish he could've been here longer for all of his grandchildren. They had so much to learn from him and his analytical mind

My earliest memories are of a young Uncle Rudy, dropping him off at IIT, and bickering with my Dad the whole way, like any loving brothers are wont to do. I always looked forward to an Illinois visit from Rudy and wish we were able to spend more time together. I'm so sorry that I won't be able to be there for the services, but I look forward to visiting his resting place at a future visit. Our family sends love and sympathy to Aunt Yanick, Rachelle, Rudy, and Uncle Renaldo and Aunt Viviane.

The Reality is that you will grieve forever. You will not 'get over' the loss of your loved one; and with time you will learn to live with it. But, you will never be alone for God will always walk with you Our prayer are with you and the family.

I am very sorry to hear of Rudy's passing. It was a pleasure working with him at BMS, he always had a smile and a ready joke. I remember his office stacked to the brim with yellow folders!
I kept in touch with him on Facebook, we chatted several times. He very generously gave advice and encouragement to my son who will be applying to NJIT in the fall. His passing is a great loss.

I am so saddened to hear that my friend/colleague Rudy has passed on. Rudy was a great influence on my career when I started my first engineering job out of college, at Bristol-Myers Squibb. He was a great mentor, and played a big part in my first promotion. I will always remember Rudy's brilliance, guidance, sense of humor and love of life and family. May he rest in eternal peace.
