Obituary of Valarie A LaVigna

Valarie A. LaVigna, age 75, of Lackawaxen, PA died Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ. Valarie was born February 13, 1940 in Collinswood, NJ. She was the daughter of the late George and the late Inez (Coxon) Huskey. Valarie was a Stewardess with American Airlines, a beauty queen, and also a Miss Republican through- out her lifetime. Her love was her family and friends she had a kind and generous heart to all who knew her. Valarie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law. She volunteered at the Masthope Lodge and was a member of the Masthope book club. She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph "Skip" LaVigna , two daughters: Jacqueline Meliado and her husband Don of Cranford, NJ, Denise Ranalli and her husband John of Drexel Hill, PA, and one son: George "Skip" LaVigna of Millford, NJ. She also is survived by eight grandchildren, Arielle, Nicholas, Darien, Isabella, Dominic, Jason, Julia, and Josie. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Monday, April 20, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ 08809. There will be a Mass of Christian burial held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Church, Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ.
