Obituary of Dorothy M Burke

Dorothy Burke 1939-2015 Dorothy Burke, age 76, of Raritan Township, New Jersey passed away peacefully Monday April 27, 2015 at Rolling Hills Healthcare Center in Lebanon, New Jersey. Dorothy was born January 31, 1939 in Phillipsburg New Jersey. She was the daughter of the late George Nemeth and the late Lillian Stevenson. She resided most of her life in Hunterdon County. She was employed by Millers Tavern in Annandale, New Jersey for over 30 years as a short order cook. To me a loving mother, remembered by all for her dedication in the workplace. She is and will always be sadly missed, and we feel proud and blessed to have had her as our mother. She was predeceased by her husband Richard in March of 1986. Surviving Dorothy are her two sons; Robert and his wife Heidi Burd of Lakeland, Florida and James and his wife Beverly Burd of Cranston, Rhode Island. She also has two daughters, Cindy Shand of Milford, New Jersey and Tracy and husband John Strawser of Pittstown, New Jersey. She also has a surviving sister MaryAnn and her husband Nick Baker of Chatham Virginia. She also has 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She also left behind her beloved cat "Pumpkin". There will be a memorial picnic (Celebration of life) held on June 6, 2015 at 3:00pm at her daughters' house, 49 Race Street Pittstown, New Jersey. All who knew her are welcome to come help us celebrate the time we had together.
