Obituary of Warren D. Dougherty
Warren Dougherty, age 67, died at home on August 26, 2015 after a two year battle with cancer, surrounded by loving family. Warren leaves his wife Diane (Fazzone) Dougherty, son Michael Dougherty, sister Janet Faber and her husband Joe of PA, sister Kathy Gilmour and her husband Paul of AK (formerly of Bloomfield) many nieces, nephews and cousins, his dear friend Les McClure, and his much loved Schipperke Pip. Warren is predeceased by his parents Jack and Alice Dougherty of Bloomfield and brother David Dougherty.
Born October 12, 1947 in Bloomfield, he attended Bloomfield High School, served four years in the Army, and graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering from NJIT. Warren was an avid hiker and loved working with his hands, which included gardening and home renovation. He was extremely talented man who was a jack of all trades and a master of all. He will be remembered for his gentle strength, keen mind, discipline, tenacity, and love for his family. Warren was loved and respected by family and friends and will be sorely missed.
