Obituary of Josephine Grare Wolfmayer

Josephine Grare Wolfmayer died peacefully on April 16, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was 90 years old. Josephine was born on June 2, 1925 to Peter and Agnes Grare. In 1951, she married John at the Salvation Army where they met and fell in love. The following year, they started their family. Josephine was a stay at home mom where she enjoyed raising her family. Josephine was a loving mother and grandmother. Her greatest pride and joy was spending time with her family. The Wolfmayers resided in North Plainfield for 60 years before moving to Clinton in 2011 to be closer to their children. The past year and a half, Josephine resided at Country Arch Care Center where she made many new friends and enjoyed the entertainment and activities. Josephine is predeceased by her husband, John, who passed away in June 2015. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Miclette, twin sons John and his wife Beth, Peter and his wife Ann. Her eight grandchildren, Bryan, Kristy, Mindy, Matthew, Emily, Max, Conor, and Alexis. Her great-grandchildren, Josephine, Gavin, Julianna, and Nicole. She is also survived by her sister, Harriet Walters, and brother, Peter Grare. Josephine is predeceased by her sister, Helen Pohira, and brother, Louis Grare. Family and friends will be greeted on Saturday April 23, 2016 from 11:00 am until the service time at 1:00 pm at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809. Burial will be held privately.
