Obituary of Judy Mary Shrum

Judy Mary Shrum (February 2, 1946 - July 26, 2016) passed away peacefully in her home in Westlake Village, CA, at the age of 70. The youngest of four siblings, she was born to Alexander and Helen Poolet in Rahway, New Jersey. She spent the majority of her life in New Jersey, living in Hunterdon County for over 24 years, before retiring to California in 2008. Judy leaves behind her loving son Scott Eugene Shrum, daughter-in-law Anita, and two adoring granddaughters, Diana and Eleanor. She was preceded in death by her dear husband of more than 37 years, Eugene Raymond Shrum. Judy devoted her life to her family, working nights while Scott was young so she could spend her days with him. In her later years, she loved spending time with countless friends, enjoying a good meal, and most of all just being with her granddaughters. Friends and relatives may gather on Thursday, August 11 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Martin Funeral Home 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Judy's name to the American Cancer Society.
