Obituary of Anthony S. Milkowski

Anthony S. Milkowski, age 93, of Lebanon Township, NJ died Friday, October 11, 2013 at his home. Mr. Milkowski was born January 17, 1920 in Carteret, NJ. He was the son of the late Joseph and the late Cornella (Philakowski) Milkowski. He resided in Lebanon Twp., NJ since 1922. Anthony was a self employed general contractor and also retired as a rural letter carrier with the Glen Gardner Post Office. He proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He was part of the North African Campaign and the European Theater. Mr. Milkowski was a retired member of the Lebanon Township Fire Volunteer Department and a member of the VFW in Glen Gardner, NJ. Anthony was a 1936 graduate of High Bridge High School. He traveled around the world three times in his lifetime and he was passionate about seeing new places. He is survived by his daughters: Janet Stickel & her husband, Richard of Chatham, VA., Joan Wilson & her husband, Daniel of Belvidere, NJ, and Joyce Albarran of Chatham, VA and his sons: Anthony J. Milkowski of Lopatcong Twp., NJ, Gary S. Milkowski & his wife, Rosemarie of Lebanon Township, NJ, and Ronald S. Milkowski & his wife, Sandra of Lebanon Twp., NJ. Additional survivors include his 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Louise S. in 1979 and his brother, Stan and sisters, Ann Gregor and Helen Puglisi. Anthony's Life Celebration includes visitation on Tuesday, October 15th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a funeral mass on Wednesday, October 16th 11:00 am at St. Ann RC Church in Hampton, NJ. Family & Friends are invited to meet directly at the Church on Wednesday morning. The interment will immediately follow at St. Ann's Cemetery in Hampton, NJ.
