Obituary of Mario A. Pascarello
Mario A. Pascarello, age 91, passed away on August 6, 2016 in his home in Clinton, N.J. Born in Jersey City, N.J., he is the son of the late Carmine and Elizabeth Pascarello.
A long-time resident of Jersey City, he graduated from Alexander D. Sullivan School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the USS Quincy CA-71 from 1942-1946. He worked as a machinist for Western Electric in Kearny, N.J.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, receiving the 3rd Degree from the Greenville Council, at which he also served as Grand Knight and the 4th Degree from the American Council. He was a founding parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Church. He moved to Lakewood, N.J. with his beloved wife Josephine, and more recently, to Clinton, N.J.
He is survived by his daughter, Valerie, son Mario, son-in-law Wilmer, grandchildren Jennifer and Michael Kilgallen, Eric and Vanessa Pascarello, great-grandchildren Carson, Avalina, Chloe and Lola, and his sister Rose.
Gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 7:00 – 9:00 PM at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31S, Clinton, N.J. 08809. Additional viewing will be held on Wednesday morning, August 10 from 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM at the funeral home and will be followed by a Funeral Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 2 White Bridge Road, Pittstown, N.J. 08867.
