Obituary of Mary A. Barry

Mary A. Barry, age 85, of Asbury, NJ, died Friday, August 26, 2016 at the home of her daughter Eileen surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born November 23, 1930 in Manhattan, NY. She is the daughter of the late George and Anna (Collins) Brewer. She was predeceased by her husband William J Barry in 1984. Mary grew up in Manhattan and spent her summers at the Rockaway Beach in Queens NY. After raising her six children and caring for her home, she worked at North Hunterdon High School as a Library Aide and also a secretary for Bethlehem Twp. She was a member of the Union Twp Seniors and the Bethlehem Twp Seniors Club. Mary loved having her house full of family and friends, they enjoyed many holidays and family gatherings. She is survived by two daughters: Eileen Barry and Mary Catherine Hogrebe and her husband William; four sons: William G Barry and his wife Charlene Scott, Kevin J Barry and his wife Maria Mattei, Michael B Barry and his wife Charlene McCatharn and Edward F Barry and his wife Diane Jaynes; and sister of one brother: George Brewer. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and six step-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at the Church Of The Annunciation, 80 Main Street, Bloomsbury, NJ. Interment will follow at the Bloomsbury Cemetery. Family and friends may gather on Tuesday August 30, 2016 from 4:00 until 8:00pm and also Wednesday from 8:30 until 9:30am at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ.
