Obituary of Deborah Wiley Hazelette

Deborah Wiley Hazelette, 58, of Lebanon, passed away quietly at home among family and friends on Oct 23, 2013, following her long courageous battle with breast cancer. A visitation for Debbie will be held at 1-4 PM on October 26, 2013 at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31 North, Clinton, NJ. A Memorial Service will be held on Oct 27, 2013 at 1 PM at the Clinton Presbyterian Church, 91 Center Street, Clinton, New Jersey. Interment will be private. Debbie was born to Joyce Kinlock and Richard Wiley on January 20, 1955 at the Naval Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from Menchville High School in Newport News, VA in 1972 and received a B.S. degree in Home Economics from Virginia Tech University in 1976. Debbie worked for Marriot Corporation upon graduation and then became a fulltime, loving mom and wife. Debbie married Jeff Hazelette in 1979, and moved to New Jersey (Fanwood, Scotch Plains and Lebanon) in 1983. She was active with her children (Brooke and Allison), golfing, bowling, as an avid fan cheering on her beloved Hokies from Va Tech and in the community - Deacon at the Clinton Presbyterian Church, Precepts Bible Study, Meals on Wheels, and Chapter AS, Westfield, NJ, P.E.O Sisterhood. She was loved by her family and friends, and is survived by her loving husband, Jeff Hazelette; her two daughters, Brooke and Allison Hazelette, all of Lebanon; her mother, Joyce Kinlock of Newport News VA; her father Dick Wiley and his wife, MaryAnn Wiley, both of Williamsburg VA; her devoted brother, Jeff Wiley and his wife, Maureen Wiley and their daughters Kelsey Wiley and Lauren Wiley Miles and her husband Raymond, all of Northern VA. She will be missed by all who knew her, including her uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws, her Wellington Knolls neighbors, the members of the Clinton Presbyterian Church and many other life-long friends. The Hazelette Family would like to thank all the doctors and caregivers for never giving up on Debbie.
