Obituary of George Ericksen
George Ericksen, 88, of Clinton, NJ passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017 with his loving family at his side. George was born in Fords, NJ, where he grew up on a dairy farm. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, Battalion Headquarters, 135 Regiment, 47th Division during the Korean War. George was a Foreman for the Woodbridge, NJ, Parks Department for many years prior to his retirement. He was a Royal Arch Mason.
George was predeceased by his parents, Hans and Matilda (nee Twibill) Ericksen; and his siblings, Muriel Clarey, Doris Clausen, Jean Ericksen, Frances Lipnick, Nancy O'Connel, Hans Ericksen and Sutz Ericksen. He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Mary (nee Venezia) Ericksen; daughter, Patricia Solovay and her husband Richard; son, George Ericksen, sisters, Gladys Rask and Louis Gorman; grandchildren, Tara Cantagallo and her husband Mark, Matthew Solovay and his wife Katy, great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Cantagallo, Charlie Solovay and Cameron Solovay
