Obituary of Carmine J Castaldo

Carmine J. Castaldo, age 49, of Bethlehem Twp, NJ died peacefully Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at home. Carmine was born July 8, 1967. He is the son of the late Luca and the late Rosa (Esposito) Castaldo. Born and raised in Madison NJ, he graduated from Madison High School and The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park NY where he also taught and mentored. An accomplished chef, Carmine along with his wife Jill owned and operated Rosa Luca's Italian Bistro, in Asbury, since opening the doors in 1999. Carmine was a kind and loving husband, father and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife: Jill (Cucchiara) Castaldo; two Children, Rosa and Gennaro Castaldo both at home; brother Lou Castaldo and his wife Sharon and children Marissa and Gianna of Flemington; Brother-in-law's Jason Murray and his wife Missy and children Addison and Parker of Fort Worth TX; Lee Cucchiara and wife Debbie and children Anthony and Claudia of New Orleans, LA; Sister-in law Lorraine Castaldo and her children Valentina and Luca. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Gennaro and nephew Christian. Family and friends may visit on Sunday April 9, from 2:00pm until 5:00pm at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809. A mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday April 10, at 10:00am at St. Catherine of Sienna Church, 2 White Bridge Road, Pittstown NJ. Entombment will follow at the Immaculate Conception Mausoleum in Annandale NJ. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church on the morning of the funeral. In lieu of flowers a scholarship fund for Carmine's children has been set up through IN MEMORY OF at www.inmemoryof-memorial.org
