Obituary of Joan K Shepherd

Joan B. Shepherd, 77, of Annandale, N.J. Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 7, 2017. She leaves behind her loving and dedicated high school Sweetheart, Gary K. Shepherd, her three children, Robert Shepherd, Tara Warmuth, and Gary Shepherd, son-in-law, Michael Warmuth along with daughter-in-laws, Darlene Lear and Annie Kluza-Shepherd. Also survived by her five grandchildren, Christopher Shepherd, Madison Warmuth, Morgan Warmuth, Huck Kluza-Shepherd, and Theo Kluza-Shepherd. Joan will be remembered by her family and friends for her quick wit and contagious smile. She enjoyed her life as a homemaker, with gardening, tennis, Church, crafting and most of all nurturing and caring for her family. Joan remained very active with her North Plainfield High School Graduating Class, participating in the Reunion Planning Committee. Her selflessness, dedication and caring disposition for those around her will truly be missed. Cheers to the beautiful life she lived with a highball in hand. The family will receive friends from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, N.J. 08809 on Tuesday, July 11, 2017. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, 59 Main Street, High Bridge NJ. Interment will follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Annandale.
