Gregory J. Faber of Pittstown, NJ, passed away suddenly at home Thursday, August 24, 2017. Visitation will be at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Rt. 31, Clinton, NJ XXXXX on Sunday, August 27, from 4 to 7 p.m. with a Parastas at 6:00 p.m. Services will be at Saint Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, Monday, August 28. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m at the church with a Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. followed by burial in Union Cemetery, Hellertown, PA. Born in Elizabeth NJ, Greg was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, Elizabeth and served with the United States Navy Seabees from 1970 to 1973 at Camp David. A member of the Plumbers Local 24, Newark, he put his skills to work at Fechtner Plumbing and Heating in Union, NJ for 17 years and retired after 30 years from Exxon Mobil Research and Engineering, Annandale NJ in June 2011. He was a hard worker and a dedicated supporter of the Orthodox faith. An accomplished chef, he was a graduate of the New York Cooking School where he was trained by Peter Kump. He was also a fine craftsman having attended several courses with Lonnie Bird at his woodworking school in Dandridge, TN. Greg willingly and lovingly shared all his talents and skills of his trades with those he loved.His life-long love of animals was always evident at his farm -- Ivy Hill –which, having been home to chickens, pigs, cattle and much more, now has eight mini-horses.He is survived by his widow Judith; his son Jonathan Faber of Flower Mound, TX, and his children Jacob, Zoe and Mike; his son Robert and his wife Tracy (Balf) Faber of Suffield, CT and their children Courtney, Colin and Brady and his son Nicholas and his wife Kerri (Loomis )Faber of Marietta, GA and their children Evan, Dylan, Owen and Piper. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Saint Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, 980 Bridle Path Road, Bethlehem, PA 18017
