Obituary of Patricia Ann Ball

Patricia Ann McCartney Ball, age 77, of Lebanon Township, NJ died Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at her family farm, surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was born October 29, 1939 in Orange , NJ. She is the daughter of the late Neal and the late Clara (Burgess) McCartney. Raised in West Orange, NJ, Pat has been a Lebanon Township resident since moving there in 1979 with her family. Pat loved helping her husband on their farm, as well as raising her son. She also enjoyed baking, crafting, canning and gardening. She was a selfless person who was always ready to donate her time and resources to many different organizations, especially St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. She is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years; Bob Ball, as well as her son, Robert "BobE" Ball and Daughter-In-Law Karen Ball of New Egypt, NJ. Pat was a loving Grandma to her four grandchildren, Jenevieve Patricia, Robert John, Kaylee Ellen, and Jacob George. She is also survived by her sister, Eileen McLaughlin, and brothers, Joseph and James McCartney, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pat was predeceased by her siblings, Barbara, Veronica, William, Neal, and Patrick. Friends and relatives may gather on Tuesday September 5, from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday September 6, at 11:00am at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at the Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in East Hanover NJ.
