Obituary of Caryn Lynn Smith

Caryn Lynn Smith, 34 , of Hackettstown, NJ died suddenly Friday September 8, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born October 17, 1982, she is the beloved daughter of Rodger and Nancy (Finan) Smith currently of Whiting NJ. The Smith family resided in Lebanon Township from 1979 until 2014.

Caryn graduated from Voorhees High School class of 2001 and also attended Montclair State University. Currently she was self-employed as a free lance accountant and office administrator. Caryn was known to those who were close to her for having a heart of gold and would stop at nothing to help anyone in need. She loved animals, especially her cats CJ and Holly, dancing, caring for children "especially Jackson and Madison"and cool cars "windows down, music up."

In addition to her parents, Caryn leaves behind her heartbroken fiancée Sean Lynar of Hackettstown and her loving sister Christy Smith of Glen Gardner. She will also be deeply missed by her devoted godparents Uncle Randy and Aunt Janeen Smith of East Amwell Township and her dear cousins Ryan (Stella), Kelly (Eddie) and Christian as well as many friends and extended family.

Relatives and friends may gather on Wednesday September 13, from 2:00pm until 4:00pm and again from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ 08809. A funeral service will be held on Thursday September 14, at 11:00am at the Spruce Run Lutheran Church, 442 West Hill Road, Glen Gardner, NJ, burial will follow at the Spruce Run Cemetery. Everyone is asked to please meet directly at church on Thursday morning for the funeral service.
