The only thing better than having an uncle like Uncle Charlie was being able to walk through the woods from our house to visit him. It is still an area of much debate on which basement was better for playing in (Manito Ave.). The traits that I admire so in my father were always there in Uncle Charlie. The kindness, even temper, love of family, and care for his fellow man were examples that surely helped his younger brothers become the men which they grew to be. Though the sense of loss for the family at this time is hard to comprehend, I am sure there also is joy in the wonderful life he had. Auntie Reel, Michael, Charles, Maria and the rest of the family have been and will continue to be in our prayers. Rest in peace Uncle Charlie.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Aunt Aurelia, Michael, Maria, Charles, and families. I have fond memories of our family get togethers, with grandpa playing the harmonica, Michael on the guitar, and uncle Charlie playing the banjo. Those sweet sounds and a loving family are times I will never forget and always cherish. I will miss my uncle, the mild mannered man, that always had a smile and quick wit.

All my life, whenever I have to make a tough decision, I ask myself, “What would Charlie do?” Thank you brother.

I think the thing I am going to miss the most were the telephone calls we had after I moved to New Mexico. We would talk for hours about everything and anything. Since dad passed away you took his place with helping me with your advice and thoughs. Of the three brothers you were most like Dad, you looked like him, talked like home, and had very similar beliefs like him, now you're with dad and I'm sure the two of you have a lot of catching up to do. I'll miss you, big brother, but we'll be together one day to continue our talks.
