Dear Sharon, Sandy, and Henry,
We are so saddened by your dad's passing. He truly was the last of an era and my dear and beloved uncle. My memories of him will be in my heart forever...Christmas at grand mom's in Flemington with all the laughing and piano playing. In later years, the Christmas get-togethers moved to Aunt Hope and Uncle Hank's home in Clinton where the Christmas tree stood watch from the window and the laughing and piano playing continued. And since it was a Freyer get-together, there was always a beer in the house! As Uncle Hank played the piano, I would watch his hands and try to imitate him when I went home, but no one could ever play the piano like him! He was kind and understanding and always encouraged me. When the time came when we could play duets together, it was the thrill of a lifetime!
Dearest Uncle Hank, may songs of the angels lead you home...and when you get there, teach them a few new ones in ragtime!
