Dear Teresa,
Our sincerest condolences go to you, Lara, Carla, and Diana.
Personally, I always enjoyed talking to Ed at our family dinners and always found him to be a great guy who loved his family very much. We shared a common bond with our love of sports (especially baseball) and that would consume a lot of our time. He dedicated his life to you and the girls and rarely, if ever, missed one of his kids' games. He always impressed me with devoting and volunteering so much of his time to coaching the youth in Hunterdon County for so many years. Ed was a true gentleman and old-fashioned family man, who was a pleasure to be around during every holiday that we shared. I had the pleasure of eating a few of his specialties such as stuffed mushrooms, and he "knocked those dishes out of the park!"
Please let us know if we can be of any assistance, and Nancy and I will personally guarantee that we will be there faster than Diana ran to make a diving catch!
Love,
Larry, Nancy, Dan, and Gabby
Hope to see you real soon!

I played for Coach Ed for only two years and he was one of the best coaches I’ve had within those two years of knowing him. He was the one who made me believe in myself again, and just play to have fun. He would crack some jokes on me here and there, but all in good light. He never put any of his players down, and he always worked with you if you ever needed it. I remember playing his daughter in college, and he sat behind the dugout with my dad talking about softball I’m sure. I know he was routing me on as well as his daughter, of course. I appreciated this short time of knowing him as I’m sure many others have who knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with the Kestenbaum family.

Dear Theresa, Lara, Cara & Dianne,
We would like to express our deepest condolences on the passing of Ed, may God rest his soul.
We will always remember Ed giving Kelly a shot at soccer & then watching her grow under his tutelage, then watching him coach her in softball too.
Through a lot of practices, a lot of road trips & a lot of fun, we saw Kelly mature & learn a lot of life lessons.
As for the parents, we enjoyed Ed's wit and sarcasm and we enjoyed talking sports & drinking beers & dissing Central.
We will miss him but we can never thank him enough for the time & effort he put into making the girls better.
But we will try anyway, Thanks Ed, may you rest in peace.

T: I am so sorry. I got on Facebook and thought it had to be someone else. Your family has not been a stranger to pain through the years. But like your Mom it takes just a second to bring back the memories of that bright star. I admired her more than you know. Rich S.
