Obituary of Mark Chuhinko

Mark Chuhinko, 65 of Washington Twps., died peacefully with his family on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Morristown Medical Center. Mark was born July 23, 1952 in West Orange, NJ. He is the son of the late John E. and Frances M. (Campbell) Chuhinko. He was married to Maryann (Barile) for 31 years and was the devoted father to Mary Frances.

Mark was raised in Bedminster, NJ and attended St. Bernards High School, Saint Leo College and the Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia. Each summer during his youth Mark enjoyed spending his time at the family summer home on Normandy Beach, where for six years he lifeguarded on the beach, as well as winning numerous sailboat races with his sisters, Valerie and Fawn as part of the Normandy Beach Yacht Club.

Mark admired his father and enjoyed going to work with him from a young age. As he got older, Mark began working a variety of jobs in the family business. He was a worker, no job was too big, too small or menial for Mark to do with gusto. He worked part-time during his time off from college but fully started in Sales upon Graduation. He eventually bought the dealership from his father and became the proud Owner and General Manager of Bell Ford in Colonia, NJ. Mark worked six days a week until his cancer started taking its toll. Even then he remained a working owner. His body was failing him, but his mind remained sharp.

While not working Mark enjoyed being active and out in nature, especially playing tennis, golf and biking with his wife, Maryann and daughter, Mary Frances. Mark thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family going on many trips to Disney World and being with his golden retriever. The last year of his life was brightened by the birth of his Grandson.
