Obituary of Jacqueline Lucienne Cesarine Burns

Jacqueline Lucienne Cesarine Burns, age 81, of Midland, MIpassed peacefully on Sunday,  July 1, 2018 at Candlestone Assisted Living in Midland, MI.  Jacqueline was born July 9, 1936 in St. Louis, MO. She is the daughter of the late Lucien and the late Lucienne (Huqueleux) Pecqueur.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Norman Burns Jr. on  October 26, 2010.  

Jacqueline was raised in Plainfield, NJ where she made many life-long friends.  She met Norman while working at Union Carbide in Bound Brook.  They raised two sons, Keith and Alan, in North Plainfield, where they lived for 29 years.  She resided in Clinton for 18 years before moving to Midland, MI to be near her son. 

Jacqueline was very involved in raising her granddaughters and she cherished her pet cats and dogs. She was a volunteer for Hunterdon Medical Center for more than 15 years and enjoyed knitting and gardening in her spare time.

Her son, Alan Burns, passed away in 2006.

Jacqueline is survived by her loving son Keith and his wife, Beth; her daughter-in-law, Elisa Burns; and her grandchildren, Alexander, Heather, Jennifer, Brielle and Nicole and also by her sister, Lydie Wiedman.

Friends and relatives may gather on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 9:00 am until the service begins at 12:00 pm at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 State Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Halsted Street in Clinton NJ.
