Obituary of Matthew Grant Stavenik

Matthew Grant Stavenik, age 24, a lifelong resident of Pittstown, NJ passed suddenly in a motor cycle accident on Thursday, July 19, 2018.  Matthew was born May 4, 1994 in Summit, NJ. He is the son of the late Richard and Renee (Harbester) Stavenik. 

 

Matthew lived life to its fullest every day. He was a 2012 graduate of Delaware Valley High School where exceled on the Varsity Track and Field and Cross Country teams. Matthew was a true outdoorsman and loved fishing, golfing, running, snowboarding and dirt bike riding.

 

He was working toward getting his electrician license with Mount Salem Electric in Pittstown NJ. Matthew has made numerous friends and acquaintances these past few years. He will be truly missed by all he touched.   

 

He is survived by his loving; mother Renee (Harbester) Stavenik;  Sisters, Kristen, Catherine and Morgan Stavenik of Pittstown, NJ; Grandmother, Cecilia Harbester and dogs Orlando and puppy Minerva Louise.

Matthew is predeceased by his father Richard Stavenik and grandfather Kenneth Harbester

 

Friends and relatives may gather on Sunday, July 29 from 1:00 until 4:00 pm and 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ 08809. A remembrance of life service will be held at 3:30 pm during the first gathering session.
