I am very sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you in this difficult time. I hope you may find comfort at Revelation 21:4, “And he (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” We can look forward to the time when God will take away all reasons for distress and he even gives us a hope of a resurrection. (Acts 24:15) I hope this promise brings you comfort as it does me.
I first knew Bob when I worked for Edwards in Chicago, he was my Regonal Manager, economic times were tough back then, but we all made it. Then later in life we reconnected through NEMA and AFAA. He endorsed me to be in the leadership of both organizations. We also worked together on numerous NFPA code committees. He was sorely missed when he retired.

My life is so much richer having had Bob in it. Bob help guide me in the world of code compliance and industry affairs, NFPA, UL, FM, and NEMA. He was a great mentor and always the consummate gentleman. He was a calming and stable influence in every session, meeting or conversation he and I participated in. Always listening and encouraging everybody to participate and making sure we did the right things. That will be very sadly missed.
To Bob's family, I wish you peace and hope knowing Bob was so well like and appreciated by everyone he met. He will be truly missed.

Bob was a mentor and a friend that I looked up to since we met in the 80s, his vision for life safety was always his goal. Bob worked on numerous NFPA committees representing AFAA and NEMA fighting to enhance life safety in America on a national level. Bob also fought for life safety on the state level here in NJ. He was a past national president of AFAA as well as locally in NJ.
One of the greatest moments of my life was when Bob, as National President, presented me with the AFAA National Service Award after awarding the NJ Chapter as AFAA Chapter of the Year. Receiving an award from a person you look up to and admire makes it mean so much more.
No man is an island Entire of itself.
Each is a piece of the continent,
