Obituary of Regina (Zullo) Galanoplos
Regina (Zullo) Galanoplos, age 63, of Washington, NJ, formerly of West Orange, NJ passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014 at home surrounded by her family. Regina was born March 11, 1950 in Newark, NJ and was the daughter of the late George and the late Marie (Orsi) Galanoplos. She lived in West Orange, NJ before moving to Washington, NJ two months ago.
Regina was zoo supervisor for Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange for many years. She was involved in animal rescue and rehabilitation as well as animal rights. She belonged to the American Association of Zoo Keepers and was director of the Essex County Emergency Management team.
She is survived by three sons: Rob (BJ) Seaman and wife Geni, George Galanoplos and wife Yesenia, and Andy Seaman; two sisters: Christine G. Cimilluca and husband Tom and Andrea G. Sharkey. She is also survived by her aunt, Helen Galanoplos and many loving nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her father, George Galanoplos, and mother, Marie Orsi Galanoplos.
Regina's Life Celebration includes visitation on Wednesday, January 29th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. Interment will be private.
