Obituary of Walter Thomas Wingren

Walter Thomas Wingren, age 54, of the Asbury Section of Bethlehem Twp., NJ died Friday, February 24, 2006 in Hazleton General Hospital in Hazleton, Pa. Mr. Wingren was born June 30, 1951 in Trenum, PA. the son of the late William B. and the late Mary (nee Walsh) Wingren. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Army as a Para-Trooper. He also was a Drill Sergeant in the United States Army, serving from 1969 to 1979 and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the Drill Sergeant Badge. Walter owned and operated a Custom Sign Design Company named Timberwolf Productions in Asbury, NJ. He enjoyed playing the guitar. Mr. Wingren resided in the Asbury Section of Bethlehem Twp., NJ for the past 15 years and previous to that, he lived in South Plainfield, NJ. He is survived by his Sisters: Lavina Stepel of Sterling, NJ, Patricia L. Bravo of Asbury, NJ, & Cynthia Cassidy of Florida, his Brothers: James K. Wingren of South Plainfield, NJ & William S. Wingren of Rockaway, NJ and many Nieces & Nephews. He was pre-deceased by his Sister, Debbie Fisher. There will be a Memorial Service on Sunday, March 5th at 1:00 pm at The VFW Post #5119, 179 Main Street, Glen Gardner, NJ - (908)-537-4525. All other services will be conducted privately and at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made in his memory to the family, in care of: Mr. James K.
