Susan and Bob, this is Marjorie Goff, Jay's mother. I just saw the notice for Tim (Martin Funeral Home) and learned of his passing in 2020. I remember when he was born---we were still in New Jersey until 2002 and I was at the Grandin Library until it closed in May, 1999. I know your hearts were broken. He grew up to be a beautiful young man. I know you were so proud of him. Jay might have told me at the time and I may have forgotten---Jimmy and I had really bad covid a couple months later and our memories are not what they had been. Please know we are praying for you now---the hurt is still real. Many prayers and much love, Jim and Marjorie Goff, former members of Clinton Baptist Church.

My daughter Harley has been very good friends with Tim for over 10 years. The meet at summer Bible study camp along with Liz they were all great friends. Tim took my Harley to her prom they a great looking couple. I meet Tim couple of times at the camp can't say I remember him so many kids and allot still friends till this day. Couple years back my daughter officially introduced him to me here in Belvidere of all Harleys friends I remember him great big smile and his handshake I will never forget. I am old school I have shaken allot of hands 1000's and his you remember. They used to say you could judge a person by his handshake and with Tim you could. Great to be around him smiling, trusting and sincere. Him and Liz were here just like 3 weeks ago they played Cornhole out back I heard Tim kicked butt and before he left he stopped in my shop and we shoke hands same strong shake same big smile. Really liked him thru my daughter heard many great things about him, Liz and Stan. It was really by luck Harley went to that camp but so happy she did. She meet a very special young man we were all so happy to have known. It was all to short but I am sure he is smiling on everyone. He touched our lives and we will never forget him

Dear Susan and Bob Hagan - My heart breaks for you and your family. The following poem from a Christian woman named Helen Steiner Rice was a comfort to me - I hope you find solace in her words. Love in Christ - Valerie, Ed and Aidan
When I must leave you for a little while,
Please do not grieve and shed wild tears
And hug your sorrow to you through the years,
But start out bravely with a gallant smile;
And for my sake and in my name
Live on and do all things the same,
Feed not your loneliness on empty days,
But fill each waking hour in useful ways,
Reach out your hand in comfort and cheer
And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near;
And never, never be afraid to die,
For I am waiting for you in the sky!

I am deeply sorry for your loss. I didin't know Timothy but my son is a Raritan Twp firefighter who is at school in Florida now and gave me the message that the fire community lost one of their own. Timothy sounds like he was a great young man. He will continue to serve in eternal life watching over his family and his fellow firefighters. May he rest in peace with a beautfiul smile shining in his eternal afterlife.
