This is is Marjorie Goff. I was the last Director of the Grandin Library, May 14, 1991 until it closed in May, 1999. Ari and Jim were such delights to me in the library and on the Clinton Historical Mill trips. I took off work and went on every one of them. We enjoyed our visits at the Grandin Library, the trips and at the Mill events. They were such good friends to me---I was new from Memphis and they were a BIG HELP in welcoming me to the Library and the area. I loved her so much that one day, on what I knew would be the last Halloween at the Grandin Library, on the way to my parked car on Center Street, I stopped at the ho use, rang the doorbell and called out "Trick or Treat" to her as she approached the door and gave her some of my Halloween stash. She got a kick from being called to the door and given treats instead of the other way around. She and Jim were MARVELOUS people and so much a part of my beautiful memories of Clinton, NJ. I just heard of Ari’s passing and am deeply saddened. I work at T.J.MAXX and she came in often. Whenever I was lucky enough to have her as a customer she always made me laugh. She was always happy and excited to find the perfect new area rug for her home and other treasures. I am going to miss seeing her. To all of her family I am sorry that you lost this special gem.

Dear Jim and family,
I was truly saddened to hear of Ari's passing. After her stroke, I spoke with her a few times and she sounded good.
Ari and I first met when I joined the Board of Trustees of the Jennie Haver Scholarship Fund. I always enjoyed our chats before, (during) and after the meetings. We also saw each other frequently at the Health and Wellness Center on Saturday mornings - another opportunity to "catch up" and get one another's latest news. In recent years, Dick and I would often pick up Ari to attend a concert or lecture at the North Branch Library in Clinton. Two years ago, the three of us attended Fred Miller's Christmas "Lecture through Song". At the end of his lecture/singing, there was a Christmas carol sing-along and I was impressed to hear Ari's perfect alto voice ! I have such pleasant memories of Ari - and I know that you have many many more. She will be missed greatly.
With my sympathy,
Sandra Davis Brandt

Luanne and Jim, I was saddened to learn about Ari's passing. She was a friend that I met during our volunteer work with the Jennie M. Haver Memorial Scholarship fund. Always a lady with a sense of humor and fun spirit. I had connected with Ari at a craft show last year, at the Clinton wellness center earlier this year and when she had been outside while I was walking along Center Street two weeks ago. A life well lived. Your dad taught me how to drive as you must have heard this from so many North Hunterdon graduates. May happy memories of Ari live in your hearts and with the good times that you share with your families. God Bless and be good to yourselves in the times that we live today.

My sincerest condolences to Arie's family. I was privileged to know her as a member of a senior singing group called the Silver Belles and Beaus. Arie loved music, and was an enthusiastic member of our choir. My fondest memories are the stories she told about Clinton in the 1950's, and the duet she sang with another member called "Til We Meet Again." She was clearly a loving mother and grandmother, and gave so much to her community. She will be missed.
