Obituary of Arietta Kempton VanArsdale

Born Arietta Kempton on February 27, 1928, in Springfield, MA. Parents, Arietta Halsey Brigham and James Coppuck Kempton. Educated in Springfield schools and graduated from Westbrook Junior College in Portland, ME in 1947. Employed as a doctor's assistant until marriage in 1950 to Stanley VanArsdale. Moved to Clinton, NJ and stayed there for the remainder of her life.

Arietta worked as a secretary at Annandale Reformatory and lastly at Clinton Farms (Edna Mahan) until retirement in 1979. Volunteered: Meals on Wheels for 25 years, Hunterdon Helpline for many years as a Friendly Visitor, Hunterdon Art Center, and the Red Mill Museum for 34 years.

Arietta leaves behind her son James VanArsdale; daughter Luanne Wilt; grandchildren Dan and Amie Wilt, Stephanie and David VanArsdale; and 6 nieces. Arietta was predeceased by her grandson Timothy

She loved spending time with family and friends, Clinton, watching Little House on the Prairie reruns, her iPad, the Jersey shore, her white dog Chester, TJ Maxx, and sipping a little drink at night. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
