Obituary of Henry J. Gonet

Henry J. Gonet, age 95, of Flemington, NJ died Friday, October 5, 2007 at home. Mr. Gonet was born September 18, 1912 in New Bedford, Ma. the son of the late John S. and the late Veronica (nee Chmeil) Gonet. . Mr. Gonet enjoyed collecting antiques and he was a longtime member of the Horseless Carriage Club of America. He was very handy and could always be counted upon to repair anything. He was a Machinist for the Ernest Payne Corp. in NYC, NY for many years before retiring. Mr. Gonet resided in Long Island, NY for the past 52 years before moving to Flemington, NJ a short time ago. He is survived by his beloved Wife of 70 years: Marie "Beth"(nee Beach) Gonet, his Daughter: Diane M. Strauss & her husband, Walter of Clinton Twp., NJ and his Son, Frederick J. Gonet & his wife, Betty of Proctorsville, Vt. Additional survivors include his 6 cherished Grandchildren and his 8 cherished Great-Grandchildren. Henry was pre-deceased by 4 Sisters and a Brother. Visiting Hours will be on Friday October 12th from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Martin Funeral Home. There will be a Memorial Service at 2:00 pm also on Friday October 12th at the Funeral Home. The interment services were conducted privately and at the convenience of the family.
