Obituary of Margaret Twine

Margaret Twine of Lebanon Township, New Jersey, formerly of Edison, NJ and originally from England died on May 30, 2009 at the age of 80 years. Margaret was born in Bournemouth, England on July 4, 1928 to Gordon Wallett Jackson and Eva Elsie (Noble) Jackson. A graduate of Ansty College, she taught Physical Education in England. She moved to the United States in 1967. Her passion in life was Field Hockey. She was a player, a coach, an equipment supplier and an inspiration to many. She was the Varsity Field Hockey Coach at Mount St. Mary Academy for fifteen years. She was heavily involved with North Jersey Field Hockey Association and ran the Day Camp for Thirty-Five years. Generations of girls have been inspired by her dedication to the sport and her value of sportsmanship. She was predeceased by her husband of thirty-six years, Denys Twine. She is survived by her daughters, Judith M. Warmingham of Lebanon Township, and Susan T. Deakins of Berwyn, PA, widow of the late Peter B. Deakins, six loving grandchildren, Robyn, Jennifer, Kenneth, Elizabeth, Emily and Carl, and numerous life-long friends. A service celebrating Margaret's life will be held at 11am on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Lower Valley Presbyterian Church, 445 Route 513, Califon, NJ 07830 #(908)-832-2933 or www.lowervalley.org In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
