My condolences to the family of Carol Elizabeth Romano. The Bible is a wonderful source of comfort. It offers a hope of living forever not only in heaven, but also on earth in a Paradise. Psalms 37:29 states "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it." Revelation 21:4 describes the beautiful conditions God has in store for the earth when it states "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

The first time I met Carol she was smiling and the last time I saw her she was smiling. I will never forget her beautiful spirit and her kind nature. She was a woman of courage and grace and I am so blessed to have known her. She enriched my life and the lives of so many. I know we will all miss her so much.
There is a quote that says "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." I hope to remember that when I get tearful about missing Carol...I want to smile more and remember the fun times we shared.
My sincere condolences to her kind and loving husband, Jim, her amazing and caring sister, Karen, and the rest of the Romano and Thompson families. Carol was a blessing that we all shared and we will miss her deeply, but I know she would want us to smile when we think of her. Goodbye my friend.
Love, Sharon Barringer

My heart aches for all Carol's family and friends, there will be a deep and aching hole where her love once lived. Her kindness, grace and love of family came through her words to those of us lucky enough to have her in our lives. I grieve for family and friends and the world that will never know Carol. God speed dear friend and one day we will meet again. Robin

I have loved my dear sister since the day she was born, but I didn't realize the depth of this love until she was taken away. I will miss our daily chit-chats and the thought of never seeing her pretty smile or hearing her infectious laugh breaks my heart.
Carol fought a valiant fight and she was an inspiration to everybody who knew her. She was an outstanding wife, mother, sister and friend and my only consolation is that she will be watching over us with dad from heaven.
Till we meet again, sweet angel...I will always love you. xoxoxo

I am a friend of Greg and Jimmys so I often went over to their house to hang out. Everytime I went over there I always remember Carol being a very warm hearted and sweet person. She was always asking if I needed anything to eat or drink, and she would always insist on cooking some of her famously good pasta haha for all of us. I consider it a privelige to have known her and may she rest in peace...

Carol was always happy and smiling every time we saw her. She was so warm and friendly and always enjoyed a good laugh. We became "Farmville" friends for a time which made it feel like I saw her each day. We know how dearly loved and appreciated she was which means the vacant hole in hearts will be deep and wide. A woman of this caliber is never forgotten and the memories of her will bring joy to the aching soul. Be at peace beautiful lady with pain no more. Your life lives on in all you loved! May God's loving arms and eternal comfort surround those who remain. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear James,
Although we did not have the pleasure to meet your beloved Mother, we hold a memory about your Mother's sweetness and gracious manners.
One winter evening your Mom cooked and served a spaghetti dinner for a few of your friends. One of those friends was our son and your friend, James Castanien. The next morning, James mentioned how he had a great time at your home and bragged about the delicious Italian meal your Mom prepared. He said, "Mrs. Romano is a great cook and I loved her spaghetti. She is a nice lady."
We thank her for creating a special memory in our hearts.
Our deepest sympathy to you, your brother, and your father.
God bless you all.

Words seem inadequate to express my sorrow in losing such a dear, sweet friend. She was such a selfless and kind hearted person. Always thinking of others rather than herself. Always so positive. Always an encouraging word. She was taken from us way too soon. I have no doubt that God has a very special place for her.
My deepest condolences to the Romano and Thompson families. Although no words can really help to ease your pain, please know that you are all being held close in thoughts and prayers.
May your memories give you comfort. May the love of those around you help you through the days ahead. May God bless you and wrap his comforting arms around you.

Some say love it is a river
that drowns the tender reed
Some say love it is a razer
that leaves your soul to blead
Some say love it is a hunger
an endless aching need
I say love it is a flower
and you it's only seed
It's the heart afraid of breaking
that never learns to dance
It's the dream afraid of waking that never takes the chance
It's the one who won't be taken
who cannot seem to give
and the soul afraid of dying that never learns to live
When the night has been too lonely
and the road has been too long
and you think that love is only
for the lucky and the strong
Just remember in the winter far beneath the bitter snow
lies the seed
that with the sun's love
in the spring
becomes the rose
~to all who loved Carol, my heart goes out to you

It saddened my heart when I heard about Carol. She was truly a beautiful person, both inside and out.
I am sorry that she was taken from her loving family so young.
To know Carol was to love Carol. She made it easy.
My prayers that God watches over her family and gives them peace~knowing that she is no longer fighting (which she so bravely did) her struggles with pain.
I'll miss you, sweet friend and promise to never forget you.........you will eternally be forever young.

To the Thompson/Ramano Families
I just wanted to tell you that when I think of Carol, I see that sunny smile that is shown in her photo here. She was always upbeat and happy, and a wonderful girl. We graduated LHS together, and our family saw a lot of the Thompson family for a few years back in the mid-70's. Jimmy, you and Carol were always a cute couple!
I was shocked to hear of Carol's passing and am praying for peace and strength for all who loved her. God Bless you, Laura Lilienthal Byrne
