Obituary of Carol Elizabeth Romano

Carol Elizabeth Romano, age 49, of Clinton Township, NJ passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Twp., NJ. Mrs. Romano was born February 7, 1961 in Orange, NJ. She was the daughter of Barbara (Tarnow) Thompson and the late Jack Thompson. Carol was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. She worked as Vice President of Romano Landscaping. Carol resided in Clinton Twp., NJ for the past 22 years and previous to that lived in Livingston, NJ. She is survived by her beloved husband, James Romano, her two sons, Gregg of Chapel Hill, NC & James Jr. of Clinton Twp., her mother Barbara (Tarnow) Thompson, her three sisters: Karen Thompson of Allamuchy, NJ, Barbara Haeffs of Alpharetta, GA., Linda LaCosta of Randolph, NJ and her brother, Jack Thompson of Franklin Lakes, NJ. Additional survivors include her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Albert & Joan Romano of Livingston, NJ, many nieces & nephews and her faithful companions, Max & Daisy. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 9th from 1:00 to 6:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a Funeral Mass held on Monday, January 10th at 10:00 am at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 316 Old Allerton Road in Annandale, NJ. Family & Friends are invited to meet directly at Immaculate Conception on Monday morning. Entombment will be at the Immaculate Conception Mausoleum on the church grounds following the Mass. Flowers are welcome and memorial donations may be made to the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center at Morristown Memorial Hospital, 100 Madison Avenue, Morristown, NJ 07962 or to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, c/o the Ovarian Cancer Dept.., 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY 10065. Cherished wife, mother, child, sister, and friend, Carol will leave a void in our lives forever. Till we are all together again - kisses.
