Obituary of Charles E. Anderson

Charles E. Anderson, age 68, of High Bridge, NJ died Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ. Charles was born January 22, 1947 in Bayonne. He was the son of the late Charles E. and the late Frances (Holowinski) Anderson. He resided in High Bridge for the past seventeen years prior to that he was a resident of Plainfield. Charles graduated from Holy Trinity High School in Westfield and also earned a degree in Civil Engineering from the Newark College of Engineering. He was a partner for many years with the Cahill Partnership in Flemington NJ, was also the Borough Engineer for the Town of Watchung and also ran his own business CLA Consultants until he retired one year ago. Charles worked several years as the Zoning Officer for High Bridge. He is survived by his wife: Lois (McHerron) Anderson; his sister: Kathryn Thomas of Harrisburg, PA and his brother: Edward C. Anderson and his wife Anita of Manville, NJ. Also surviving is his niece, Alyson Yost and nephew, Matthew Thomas. A gathering of family and friends will take place Monday, June 1, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a funeral service held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at the Clinton Presbyterian Church, 91 Center Street, Clinton, NJ with Rev. Tracey Henry officiating. The Interment will be held at 10am on Wednesday, June 3 at St. Gertrude's Cemetery in Colonia, NJ.
