I was stunned yesterday to learn of Richard's passing when I met Marie at our annual Sweet Adeline's luncheon. I and my husband had met him many years ago at a dinner after a Sweet Adeline's event. Richard was a sweet, intelligent, quiet but funny man who graciously accepted and became involved with Marie's horses, dogs and cats -- not to mention her crazy work hours! Our hearts reach out to Marie and we wish her strength and courage as she deals with her loss.
I started working for NYL Supply Dept. in Murray Hill NJ in 1974 one week after Rich started. He was a great guy and we joked on who would be the last of the Murray Hill guys to retire. Richie won that honor and I'm so sadden to hear of his loss so soon after his retirement that I knew he was looking forward to. God speed Richie and my heartfelt condolences, thoughts & prayers to his family & loved ones
I was so shocked to hear of Rich's passing. Rich was one of the first people I met when I started working in the supply division at New York Life. May God Bless his Family as they go through this difficult time.
I am so very sorry to hear of Rich's passing. I worked with Rich for many years and was very happy for him for his retirement. I don't think I'd ever seen him so pleased as to begin the new phase of his life. What a loss that his retirement was so short. My heartfelt condolences go out to all who cared for him.
I'am so sadden to hear this terrible news. I've know Rich since 1975 and he was such a kind and caring person. I can only hope that Rich is now in a better place and he will be looking down on us. I will remember fond memories of him. Good night my friend.

My condolence to the Family. Rich was always complimentary to me and drove me little crazy but harmless. When I heard the news of Rich passing I was very shocked. He just recently retired and was looking to start a new adventure in his life. May he rest in peace.
I started my career working with Rich back in 1978 in the Supply Dept. I have kept up with Rich over all these years. I was so happy for him, that finally after all this time he was retiring and excited about starting a new chapter in his life.
I am saddened by the sudden and unexpected loss. My deepest sympathies go out to Rich's family. May all your memories of him sustain you during this time.
