I know this is years late, but I just found out that Herb passed away. I found a business card with Herb's name and address on the back of it, and decided to see if I could find him. I was saddened to see where Herb had passed. I never got to meet Herb in person, but back in the mid 70s, I bought several model Railroad things from Herb. He was a VERY generous man and always a pure pleasure to talk to on the phone. I still have most of the items I bought from Herb, and they are in use on my model railroad layout today. I wish I could have met him in person!!!
My sincere condolences go to his family!!! I'm sure he is missed very much, even after this amount of time. God Bless and keep you!!!
